Romanian Designers Launch Modular Jewellery

Modular jewellery is a term that not many people are familiar with. Still, according to a Romanian entrepreneur who recently created a modular jewellery collection, it’s one of the most current trends.

While the sector has had its share of issues due to lockdowns and travel restrictions, many people turn to jewellery as a rewarding and long-lasting investment. This year’s jewellery trends revolve mostly around modular jewellery, a movement that allows you to be distinctive and creative on any given occasion.

Heart Jewellery Carlette

Modular jewellery is a type of jewellery made up of different components that may be linked together to create various looks. The concept of ‘disassembling’ and reassembling objects inspired modular jewellery.

Small components are connected together by a hinge or other mechanism in modular jewellery. Parts are typically interchangeable, allowing you to mix and match to create new designs.

Carlette Jewellery is the trend-setter in Romania when it comes to modular jewellery. The brand offers customers one-of-a-kind jewellery that may be worn in various ways depending on one’s outfit. Carlette Jewellery aims to highlight each woman’s beauty by creating great jewellery that can be worn at various events, on any occasion, and on any day.

Jewellery has always been an emotive purchase, but it appears that customers are more eager than ever to express themselves, adding a personal touch to their style. In times when people are no longer finding themselves, they seek something to remind them of themselves.

A woman’s best friend is jewellery since it helps her to add the finishing touch to her outfits. You may always be unique when it comes to modular jewellery, and your inner flair will shine through. Women should be made to feel special and cherished, and their individual beauty should be admired. Carlette jewellery comes with many charms that can be mixed and matched as desired.

Republic of Moldova’s President Grateful for Romania’s Support

President Maia Sandu expressed gratitude to Romania for its assistance in the face of the Republic of Moldova’s challenges, stating that „we now have the best relationship between Chisinau and Bucharest since independence.”

We have an excellent relationship and I think it is the best relationship between the authorities in Chisinau and Bucharest since independence. The authorities in Bucharest have always helped the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, but they have not always been lucky to have respectful partners in Chisinau. We are aware of and appreciate all the support we have at all levels

Maia Sandu, Republic of Moldova’s President

The president of state also stated that while Bucharest has always been a trusted partner for the Republic of Moldova, not all governments have been as favourable to the Romanian state in the past.

Every time something happens we go to Bucharest for help. Beyond that are big development projects. This 100 million euro project was recently approved. Concrete things are happening, we are building bridges, we are implementing projects that the citizens will feel and they will be convinced of this extraordinary relationship that we have with Romania.

Maia Sandu, Republic of Moldova’s President

In this light, the president of state would like to point out that a team of Romanian experts assisted the Government of the Republic of Moldova in filling out the questionnaire for EU membership.

Maia Sandu also wanted to point out that Romania was essential in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

It is extremely important for me that during the covid period, Romania came and offered us a vaccine. That was when Romania had obtained the first vaccine matches and needed it for its own citizens, and we were desperately looking for a vaccine to save lives. That was probably the strongest gesture of humanity, help and friendship

Research: Aging Population Is a Social and Economic Disaster in Romania

According to a study by Frames, Romania’s aging population and diseases are becoming a social and economic bomb, and the country urgently requires 50,000 nurses.

The condition of health care in Romania has entered a zone of health risk due to the migration of specialised staff (doctors, nurses, nurses) overseas. Romania urgently requires more than 50,000 nurses to meet the health difficulties that an ageing population and the deteriorating health of vulnerable groups, particularly children and the elderly, will pose in the coming years.

Romania’s population is aging and becoming sicker with each passing year. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, our country’s elderly population has surpassed the young people by more than 20%, with the trend expected to continue in the coming years.

For example, the number of individuals over 65 has surpassed 3.8 million (17.5% of the total), while the number of children is just 3.19 million (14.5%).

The 50-54 age group (8.9%) had the most significant share of the entire population on January 1, 2022, a category that will retire in 10-15 years.

Romania has one of Europe’s lowest life expectancy rates. The primary cause of mortality is cardiovascular disease, while lung cancer is the most common cancer.

Romanians consume more alcohol and eat more unhealthy foods than the EU average. In Romania, adolescent obesity, smoking, and overweight are all on the rise and have been for the past two decades.

According to the Frames study, Romania urgently needs a national training strategy in healthcare, which was carried out at the initiative of the „Carol Davila” Post-secondary Sanitary School and the „Dr Mioara Mincu” Theoretical High School in Bucharest.

The need for staff in clinics, hospitals and medical offices in the country is huge and will increase significantly in the coming years, as the population ages. Even though the number of employees trained by us and other institutions has increased in recent years, due to migration, many of the health fields are facing an acute staffing crisis, so, in terms of population, we still need at least 50,000 nurses ”, says Prof. Aurelia Şova, director of the Post-secondary Sanitary School „Carol Davila”.

According to the National Institute of Statistics, 137,589 nurses with average training in Romania in 2020, up 18,000 from 2015. More than 16,784 nurses with a higher degree have been added.

According to Eurostat data, despite a rise in the number of employees over the last decade, the number of doctors and nurses remains considerably below EU averages.

In 2019, there were 3.2 doctors per 1,000 people, one of the lowest ratios in the EU (the EU average is 3.9), and 7.5 nurses per 1,000 people (EU average of 8.4).

According to a study undertaken by the Center for Research and Social Development, „Solidarity” on the position of nurses in public health facilities in Romania, the number of nurses has declined by 25% in the last 23 years, while the number of patients has climbed by 12%.

According to analysts, the number of nurses travelling overseas might exceed 100,000, with Romania likely to be the greatest provider of nurses in the European labour market. The Romanian public health system now has the largest nursing shortfall.

According to „Study on the Situation of Nurses in Public Health Units in the United States,” The COVID-19 epidemic has exacerbated the fragile situation of the global healthcare workforce according to a report by the International Council of Nurses (ICN). According to the analysis, up to 13 million more nurses will be required during the next decade, about half of the existing workforce of 28 million.

In the next ten years, one out of every six nurses is predicted to retire, requiring 4.7 million new nurses to replace those who are retiring.

Romanians’ access to health care has become more complex than ever, especially in rural areas, causing a worsening of the population’s health problems, which are frequent and preventable.

The rate of preventable mortality is the third highest in the EU, with its leading causes being cardiovascular disease, lung cancer and alcohol-related deaths. Mortality from treatable causes is more than twice the EU average and includes treatable deaths from prostate and breast cancer that can be treated, ” said the European Commission’s State of Health in the EU – Romania 2021 report.

Nurses are in high demand, particularly in rural areas. According to the Frames study, there are hundreds of counties where the medical system is nearly paralysed due to a lack of staff, particularly in the preventative field.

Who is the Romanian that Collaborates with Killnet?

According to local sources, Romanian Ioan Feher translated materials advocated by the pro-Russian group from Russian into Romanian and suggested the Romanian sites that could have been targeted. The Romanian’s residence was searched, and UK authorities arrested him.

Ioan Feher, a Romanian resident in the United Kingdom, is suspected of working with the Russian Killnet hacking gang, which has carried out DDoS attacks on the Romanian government, the Ministry of National Defense, the Romanian Police, airports, and Digi24 television websites. The strikes by the Russian faction took place during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

A large-scale cyberattack has been undertaken against Romanian government institutions since April 29. The Romanian government, Ministry of National Defense, Romanian Railways (CFR), and Romanian Border Police all had their websites hacked.

Killnet, a Russian cyber hacking group, claimed responsibility for the attack on the Romanian Institutes’ websites. Killnet has pledged to conduct cyber operations against countries and organisations that have helped Ukraine financially.

To protect public and national security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Directorate General of Internal Protection, the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, and other defence structures and institutions have formed a crisis cell made up of experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Directorate General of Internal Protection, the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, and other defence structures and institutions.

Officials in Bucharest discovered a Romanian resident in the United Kingdom who allegedly helped with the Killnet gang following the investigations. According to a press statement from the Romanian Police, the Romanian supplied “help for the translation from Russian into Romanian of the criminal group’s documents and by indicating several Romanian websites that could have been attacked using the same style of operation.”

According to the authorities, the Romanian national is currently in the custody of British police.

Meanwhile, Killnet posted a message on Telegram claiming that Romanian Ioan Feher backed the cyber organisation. The hackers claim that if he is not released, the organisation will „destroy Romania, the United Kingdom, and Moldova.”

Leave him alone. If he supports Russia, it does not mean that he is a criminal. If it is not released within 48 hours, we will destroy Romania, Great Britain and Moldova. We will destroy the entire information structure and the Ministry of Health. You will realize that you made a mistake.

Killnet communication on Telegram

According to Valahia News, SRI has proof of a more considerable number of Romanians working for the pro-Russian hacking group Killnet, according to Cyberint’s director, Anton Rog, who told a local TV station.

Next to this category are Romanians who designate targets and, if they don’t, make comments in favour of Russia, against Romania, against Europe, against NATO, against Ukraine, and against the Romanian government.

Anton Rog, Cyberint CEO

Several cyber-attacks on Romanian institutions’ websites have happened in recent days. Officials in Romania claim that these attacks are motivated by Romania’s support for Ukraine during Russia’s invasion of the nation.

Romanian National Directorate of Cybersecurity at Locked Shields 2022

Four specialists from the National Directorate of Cyber Security participated in Locked Shields 2022 between April 19-21. The Romanian team included DNSC experts from Communication, Legal, and Technical.

This year, more than 2,000 civilian and military personnel from 32 partner and allied states participated in the exercise that was organized and planned by the NATO Center of Excellence for Cyber Defense Tallinn.

Romania took part in Locked Shields for the second year consecutively with an inter-institutional group coordinated by the Cyber Defense Agency of the Cyber Defense Command. The team consisted of 110 specialists from the national defense system, public security (Army, Internal Affairs, Intelligence), as well as major private companies in the field (Bitdefender).

The exercise had the overall goal of improving the training of cybersecurity experts so that they could act in large inter-institutional teams and multidisciplinary teams to protect national critical infrastructures and government computer networks. Multiple and multidirectional cyber attacks are prevented by satellite, 5G, and other communications systems.

Locked Shields, the largest international LFX in cyber defense (Live Fire Exercise), is the most sophisticated in terms of the technical knowledge required. This exercise was designed to test and train specialists by engaging them under intense pressure in solving complex cyber incidents.

Finland wins the Locked Shields 2022, while Poland/Lithuanian joint team came in second.

We are happy to launch a new project in collaboration with Metrorex and the National Roma Culture Center, in which we bring to the attention of travellers personalities of Roma culture, special people from various fields of activity, from film to painting, people in research who deserve to be noticed, because we know and believe that art can change mentalities, can unite people and then this approach has the role of bringing to the attention of the public Roma personalities who change history.

Alexandra Marin, Art Safari project manager

For the next 30 days, brief, 25-second videos containing informational capsules about gipsy people and their creation will be presented on subway stations and highway screens.

Gipsy actor
Charlie Chaplin

The show features personalities like as Charlie Chaplin, Alina Erban, Zita Moldovan, Delia Grigore, Moca Rudy, Mihaela Dragan, Vasile Burtea, Ion Voicu, Eugen Raportoru, and Nicolae Gheorghe.

They are just the first 11 we have selected because we hope that this project will have continuity to promote the culture of minorities. You’ve all heard of Charlie Chaplin or Johnny Răducanu, and maybe not everyone knows that these personalities are Roma and are known worldwide. In addition to these, we also have well-known Romanians such as the violinist Ion Voicu or the young artists Mihaela Dragan and Zita Moldovan – fashion designers. So, you will discover information from various fields.

Alexandra Marin, Art Safari project manag

According to Mihai Neacsu, director of the National Romani Culture Center, the show is an essential step in promoting Roma people.

He expressed the hope that after the exhibition’s 30-day run, many Bucharest residents, not just tourists, will have a „balanced” picture of gipsies.

This exhibition is an important step for promoting gipsy personalities who have brought pride to their culture. It means that we are beginning to realize that the gipsy elite assumed from an ethnic point of view, has a very important role in developing and promoting Romani culture. Our minority needs elite air and not the other way around. The elite also manages without the National Romani Culture Center and the National Agency for Romani. Still, we, as organizations, as a Romani movement, need as an air an elite that assumes its ethnic identity in public and represents role models. for Roma students and young people.

Mihai Neacsu, director of the National Romani Culture Center
