According to a statement from the Association for the Promotion of Romanian Film, 26 Romanian feature films released in cinemas or on VOD platforms in 2021 were considered by this year’s jury to nominate nominations for the 16th edition of the Gopo Awards.
What is Gopo?
The Gopo Awards are the national Romanian film awards, similar to the Academy Awards, the Goya Awards, or the César Award. They are presented by the Association for Romanian Film Promotion and were inaugurated in 2007.
Gopo 2022 Nominations
In the race for the Gopo trophy in the Best Feature Film category, the films „Babardeală cu bucluc sau porno balamuc” (directed by Radu Jude), „Câmp de maci” (directed by Eugen Jebeleanu), „Malmkrog” (directed by Cristi Puiu), „Unidentified” (directed by Bogdan George Apetri) and „Otto Barbarul” (directed by Ruxandra Ghiţescu).
